Medical Malpractice

Medical providers, including doctors, nurses, chiropractors, therapists, paramedics, hospitals, clinics, and other health care providers are required to exercise reasonable care in accordance with the standards of care generally accepted for the profession involved. If a medical provider acts, or fails to act, in a manner that deviates from the standard of care, that provider may be held liable for injury or damage to a patient. A medical malpractice claim can be based on numerous negligent acts such as:

  • Failure to diagnose a disease
  • Delay in diagnosing a disease
  • Surgical procedure errors
  • Failure to properly treat a medical condition
  • Errors committed during the prenatal and/or birth process.

We have represented clients whose doctors have failed to timely identify and treat diseases such as cancer; persons whose doctors have failed to properly treat an orthopedic condition; and persons who were not treated in a timely or appropriate manner by paramedics or by medical providers in the emergency room.
